My name is Zorba, nice to meet you!

If you happen to be reading this you’re likely to love spicy food, so we have something really amazing in common!

When I was about nine, something happened that changed my gastronomic experience forever. My father took me to San Cristobal, a city in my home country of the Dominican Republic, where I met this old lady who used to make one of the most delicious spicy infusions I have ever tried in my entire life. I prefer to call it an infusion instead of a sauce because it had more herbs, condiments and spices than you could imagine, plus a decent dose of chili peppers, all in a distilled water/vinegar base. It hooked me up immediately.

Since then, eating spicy food and using hot sauces became a way of life for me. I’ve had the privilege to travel around the world to many different countries where spicy food is part of the culture and day-to-day consumption. Needless to say, my ability to handle the burning sensation of capsaicin has increased, which makes the experience even more interesting and deep…and it hurts so good!

Now I live in Punta Cana with Ro, my lovely accomplice, wife, friend and partner in crime [or spice, LOL] . After quitting the 9-5 work-a-day world I decided to re-design my life and only develop and work on things I really love and care about. Things I do with pleasure, things that allow me to give something through sharing. Blogging is part of the path I chose, and this is my first experiment in that direction.

Along with Ro and two others [who also happen to love spicy foods], we have become a team of four people committed to producing and delivering useful, fun, reliable, interesting, deliciously-spicy and high-quality content for health, and for your own burning enjoyment.
